Walked into my office to find this package on the desk. I just could not beleive my eyes what I saw. Why oh why would anyone mail an item packaged like this?
I just about screamed out with laughter.. :scared: :scared:

That is awsome!!! Geee I wonder what it could be? I hope it was insured.
Wow!!! I wrap Christmas gifts the same way!?!? Who would have thaught someone else had this same talent!
Good luck getting the PO to pay insurance on something wrapped like that. I would be inspecting that puppy real quick.
I want to see what was inside that! Doing the old bow re-arrange again huh? I've found if you keep the bows moving often enough on the pegs they loose count and/or interest, but if they get the mail before you do - WATCH OUT! LOL

:biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
I saved that picture King, hope you don't mind. I literally had tears in my eyes with laughter. Priceless... LOL
Obviously some negative feedback on shipping methods and cost will be given to this lad from northern NY.
I guess a couple pictures as requested are in order.
I just recued this "OLD BEAR" from just south of the northern border here on the east coast.
How could anyone live with themselves doing such a sacriligous thing to a bow like this and cover it with camo paint. :(
Will be my first rescue attempt.. :bigsmyl:

Tim trust me no more then what I had when I saw it on my desk.  :biglaugh:
I thought that looked like a K-Mag. 1970?
Insured, and delivery confirmation. Ya gotta admit, anyone handling the package would have a pretty good idea about how fragile it was.
Now, about the specs... :bigsmyl:
Killdeer
I think it's a 1967 Killy.....I got one just like it!!!!!
(without all that UGLY paint of coarse.....)
Killdeer I believe you may be right that it is a 1970, but it is a K-Mag RH 52" - 45#'s.
Thats classic.
Well, Geeeee Jim.....I'm just "someone" now????? ;)
Chuck if you lQQk we must have been on this post the same time as I erased "someone", as not to embarrass you as I beleive Killdeer is correct.. :biglaugh:
boy--that'll take some elbow-grease!!!but it might not be all that rough when you get under the paint---nice packing job!!i guess i over think it!!
I had thought that I was the one to mail out the 2 worst packaged bows ever mailed, had some shoulder work done and I had to wrap them both one handed.
whoever did that one :notworthy: the honor now belongs to you.
When i see something like that, it makes me feel better about myself!! That is classic..
Kole
It got mailed, you received it, what more could you ask for lol.
By the way congrats on the bow.
Alan
wow! crap that is not a nice thing to do to an awesome old bow bow like that. :scared: :biglaugh:
Just think the bow has been around 30+ years with not problem and someone mailed it like that...could have destroyed a good bow. Sad!!
I'm blowing snot bubbles. :) That's just too much. :) That's exactly what I thought, A propeller !!
If you wrap the bow a couple more times with duck tape you might remove the rest of the camo paint. That was actually a high tech paint stripping system.
Gap, :scared:
I hope that doesn't happen on a regular basis my brother..Hard for anyone to take ya serious. :D
Hmmmmmm, opaque strech wrap. Ya suppose we could get one of the sponsors to carry that? That is too funny. And I always tried to secure carpet roll cores for shipping. Glad you got it in one piece.

Me is getting reports and thinks Chuck aka "SOMEONE" may be correct. :biglaugh:
Will post when unveiled for the truth of year built.
rednecks in new york hummm!!! :D
i think that package is actually a boomerang and he thought it was going to come right back to him...if someone sends me a package like that..i gurantee it will be sent right back to him...... :scared: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
or maybe it was the only bow that didnt kill a bunny on shawn leonards rabbit hunt...lol....... i think you should retitle your post on how not to ship a bow.... that is too funny!
WOW !!!!
I receive a recurve in one of those triangle box that you can get from the PO, it didn't have any packaging and thelimb tips wasn't wraped.
They just put in box and mailed it ..
When I got it the limb tip was sticking out of the box about 3 in..
Do you think it might be from same guy :biglaugh:
Well at least the smoron wrapped it with cardboard......
And yes smoron is spelled right. It stands for stupid-moron.

Above Albany,,,probably... :D
I wish I got a package shipped to me like that! Only means one thing, another Bow in my ranks!
At least they put a wrapper on the bow. Next time they might just put some stamps on one limb and an address label on the other.
Hope it didn't get mailed as a 52 AMO magnum and delivered as a 48 AMO super magnum.
No doubt the add read something like "I don't know anything about archery but....." And he was completely honest.. :knothead:
I have never gotten one like that but I got this a while back.

When I complained about the packing the guy said, "I have owned and shot more bows than you will ever lay your hands on." I guess he told me. Fortunately the Martin Vision was not too bashed up and the post office is cooperating. Somehow the box got shortened in shipping.
:biglaugh:
WOW cupcake, now that is ridiculous! You must of been SHOCKED when that arrived! :biglaugh:
well....thats alot more bow than i recieved in my triangular boxes....all i got of my dwyer dauntless was a peice of the box that had a stamp on it saying recieved without contents... the tradganger and the post office worked it out and my money was returned and the tradganger recived his insurance claim..... that is why we buy insurance for these bows!!!....i will ship in tubes only unless there is no choice.
They said we should think outside of the box...
It would help if I could see the limb color and whether there was an insert on the front of the riser. I can wait 'til you uncover the serial number, though.
Killdeer
The person that shipped it got the last laugh, It did make it in one piece and I would have loved to watch them measure that one up for the extra charges :bigsmyl:
