Title: Pictures and avatars (dial up vs high speed)
Post by: Mike Most on May 28, 2010, 02:16:00 PM
I have been running aol dial-up for eons. Now I have the oppportunity to have high speed internet in the country, complete with wireless router.

Its fast but can one of you on the geek squad, tell me why the new stuff wont let the pics on this site (all the adds, avatars etc) come up. Is it the new security setting which is working with the wireless network?

Thanks for listening

Mike (I get all the easy text but none of the cool stuff)

imo, there's absolutely no need for aol - it's a useless service that's a go-between you and the net, and a waste of money.  for those who use it as a kid filter, there are lotsa other better ways to skin that cat.

viewing site images is controlled by browser, network or net provider.  either your browser settings are off or someone is filtering out images

Yea as Rob said it has nothing to do with the type of internet access you have. Did install any new software? Like a virus protection package?
