HOw do you add weight to the Beman MFX Classic shafts?
Not 100 grains, but if I'm bare shafting, and it needs 25 or 50 grains, how would I add it to the front end of the shaft? Do they make little screw in inserts like Carbon Express or Gold tip?
Steve, I don't know of any weights for the MFX arrows. What I normally do is find the point weight (broadhead, adapter, insert) I want to shoot and tune the arrow to that. I'll get one each of a couple different shafts and start with the highest spine. If it is too stiff even at full length go to the next spine down till you get one too weak and start your cutting from there...Mike
I Think I'll stick with Carbon Express Heritage shafts. Thanks guy.
Stev,
What size are your MFX's? If you are getting rid of them I might take them off your hands :p
Wouldn't the arrow tubes for the Axis arrows work for the MFX's- at 3 Rivers
You can use 50 or 100 grain inserts for the MFX's. When I need a little more weight I glue in a short section of weight tube behind the insert plus foot the point end of the shaft with aluminum.
It has worked great for me so far.
