Well, after many hours of reading/researching on forums, YouTube and books I finally started and finished by first bow. As stated by many I learned a lot more from actually doing it rather than reading about how others do it. It is by no meant perfect but I am pleased on how it turned out. I really expected to not have a shooter when I was done but this thing actually flings an arrow. It turned out to be 66” long, close to center shot, and 43lbs at 28”. It has what I think is excessive string follow but it will have to do.
I noticed in these pics when they were taken that the lower limb was bending more than the top. I have remedied that issue as well as added a leather wrap around the grip.
I would just like to thank everyone on the forum that contributes! It has made this journey a fun an positive endeavor. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and I tend to be an information hog with the intent of doing things the right way the first time. Thank you all.

Thank you for the kind words!
If any of you have any criticisms I am eager to get your thoughts and opinions. Feel free to pick this thing apart. I I know for a fact there are some things that could use some improvement. I’m also sure there are things I do not see that could be tweaked. Thanks again for the kind words.

Great tiller on that stick. My first bow was the prettiest after in broke I kept trying to improve the functionality of the bow, now most of my bows look like @$#$*.
Maybe I'm not meant to build such creations.
:(

Good job man! You sure didn't shy away from one with a little character. I'm sure you learned a lot.

Well done Nathan.

Very nice!!
Selfbow is on my “to do” list. Just not sure I have the skill or patience for it.
-
Nice bow. It looks considerably better than my first. Mine was too thin, wide, and whip ended.
-
Excellent job.

Damn nice bow, Nathan!
Only one thing i dont like is the cut in shelf on a self bow. But this is personal preference.
Keep on the good work,
Greets,
