So, today I'm laying up a bow on the patio and had just spread the glue on the back strip of glass and had layed it on the form. A sudden gust of wind knocked it off the form and it landed glue side down on the patio. I immediately said bad words and then picked it up and wiped the dirt and most of the glue off with acetone. Let it sit for a bit and then spread more glue and continued with the lay up.
Is there a chance of a bad glue joint on this lam?
Don't worry, it's not the swap bow. ;)

There’s always a chance for a bad glue joint. But I think you’ll be fine.
Had a similar incident, but with a riser. I did exactly as you. Scraped off what I could and wiped with acetone.
I wipe all my fiberglass with acetone prior to glue up.

Yes, I wipe everything down with acetone too. Guess I'm just worried that the acetone May have corrupted the bit of smooth on that didn't wipe off.
More to come tomorrow!

Heck if Brad wipes with acetone before gluing, I'd think you will be fine. (Wait til Roy gets hold of this)

Pulled it off the form and so far it seems ok. Probably needs to be shot a while to know for sure.
