Title: Knots in veneers
Post by: arachnid on February 24, 2018, 06:51:00 PM
Hi guys.

I've ripped some zebrawood for veneers and noticed the lams have a knot. Will it be a problem? Does size matter (of the knot of course ;-))

The knots will add lots of character and shouldn't be a problem.

I have used veneers that had small worm holes in them. As long as you get the glue down in the knotty area you will be fine.

Yeah, the only time a knot might be an issue on a glass bow is if it's right on the edge.  Other than that, just do like Cooked Stic says and you'll be fine.
