My buddy sent me some scrap end peaces of 0.50 bow tuff for the footed riser Im making ,I never worked glass before so Im wonder how much sanding I need to do on the shinny side to get it ready for laminating, do I need to get it to look the same both sides or any other tips ?

The rougher the better.  Epoxy does not soak into the glass but more sits on the surface.

Ok thanks fellas I will score it up good with 36 grit once it loses the shine if I could figure out how to get it to stay put I would run it threw the drum sander !
