Title: Last tiller check i promise.

Ok guys I'm ready to throw the camera and the computer crap out the window and do it with eyeballs a knife and a tree. Every pic I take the top limb looks bad then I flip the bow and the top limb looks bad even though its not the same limb!!!!! I put it on the tree and the tips pull to the same distance. the distance from string to limb is symmetrical on both sides at the same intervals. So I'm thinking its bad camera angles or my grip although I changed grip several times but keeping it the same when I flipped the bow. I also think I may need to get a smaller gizmo for this stage of the tillering, read something about that some where. It was going well until I started taking pics and using paint app to put that sphere up there as reference. Does any one else trust their eyes more than pics? I do. Ill stop whining now Thanks guys. Oh yea this one is 66 inches t2t 12 inch riser 1.5 wide out 6 inches the tapering to 7/16. Or maybe get an old Koda chrome and take some pics of some real curves    :)

John, I think she's ready to shoot. After a hundred shots get her sanded smooth and get the finish on her.
 I always use just my eyes(and a Gizmo) when tillering. A shorter Gizmo could be helpful at times. A Gizmo can help detect twisted limbs too by running it down each side of the belly surface. If it is twisted the lines will be in different places along the limb.
By the time I figured out about the computer crap the wood would have rotted.
 With wood bows, I like the K.I.S.S. rule!

But I think it looks great.. ^5

Only thing I would change on the next one would be to shorten up the riser, or put a longer gradual taper in it.

Man I been looking for them glasses all day. That riser was what I was going to ask ya bout Roy. I'm not changing any thing now to scared it will throw the tiller off. But next one I want to start that taper further back and round it off some so its more graceful and not as blocky. But if it will kill a rabbit its good by me.

I'm not a lefty, the darn phone is flipping the pics. I didn't bother to try and fix. Its the layout you gave me, 12 inch riser right?

I think it looks pretty good John I like the bigger riser bet it shoots  shock free , I use the gizmo to brace some times but lately been using a mirror more then any thing  and then go to the tree once I'm around 25 in. I think your more then ready to try the hickory a little bird told me you where thinking about it !

Looks really good John.  I like your tiller.  

On the next one you could leave the riser the same length, just start your taper at the top and bottom of your hand when your grip it, if that makes sense.  The extra wood you have isn't hurting anything, but isn't necessary.
