Title: Trilam question
Post by: John Malone on December 15, 2017, 07:39:00 PM
Just curious, could you use a piece of red oak between two pieces of hickory? Would that even be considered a trilam. Not to worry I just ordered the complete TBB set from 3rivers.

Yes!  :)
hickory isn't a great bellywood unless you live somewhere very dry.

Hickory isn't all that good in compression. Yes it would be a trilam.
