So far I've been using Tru-oil and rattle cans but want to try an epoxy finish like Fullerplast or Big Jim's Buffalo finish.
I have a 5hp, 20 gal compressor. What is a good moderately priced spray gun? Also I'll need some kind of line filter I suppose. Advice?

I got a Devilbiss 2 gun combo on sale a couple years ago. I have only used the smaller gun . Absolutely no complaints at all! Just learn to control the flow according to the consistency of whatever finish you are using. Not necessarily cheep but great guns!

Good info and thanks. Anything special about the line filter I need to get? I've never owned one, be specific. Thanks

If your air compressor uses oil in the compressor then you will need an inline oil filter and moisture filter. If it's an "oil less" compressor then you will need a moisture filter. I live in a high humidity area, I use 2 moisture filters on my oil less compressor. I have a FX1000 mini HVLP spray gun that works pretty good when I set it up right..

Okay guys, I think that clears things up for me. The compressor is the dual piston, oil lubricated type. Thanks all for the help.
