My only recurve just exploded
Sorry to hear that Dan. I guess this mean that you will now have to buy a new one. :D
I tried to send some pictures but couldn,t get them here. Bought this bow in the 70,s and I will miss it. I exploded at full draw no warning. If someone needs a handle give me a shout,
That is always my excuse when i want a new bow. :D :D :D He He
Only bow, that sucks. I've got a 45lb loaner I could part with for however long you need. Let me know. Tripper
Dan, let me know if I can help. We're not that far apart if you need a loaner. Fred
Ask Rich Lopez "droptine" he might want it for plugs
If this bow is as important to you as it sounds,go and hang it above your mantle. No matter how exploded it may be,it will still look nice. :( Sad Sad story.
Thank you guys for the offers, I still have my longbows and this might be a good time to really get to know these straight sticks. now I have to learn to shoot straight with these, I don,t have ol faithful to fall back on.
Use the salvaged wood to make a knife handle.
Brant :)
I know how you feel Dan-it wasn't my only bow but my favorite one-piece-a '68 Super Kodiak blew up on me at full draw a couple of weeks ago. I'm just now getting past flinching when I shoot. Sounds like yours gave good service-sorry for the loss. Grant
I forgot to say what the bow was, It was a Herters takedown with a metal riser. The riser appears to be fine.
