She is 52" on a 13" bocote and bolivian rosewood riser. Clear glass with bocote veneers. Finished up 40# @ 28". I have built this design as a 48" and 50" and decided to stretch it out a couple of inches. Sorry for the poor quality photos, thanks for looking.

Beautiful bow!

Nice! Short bows are fun.

Very nice. Love that riser combo. How did you go about getting the darker wood to fit so nice in that vee point.

Very nice, Jess..

Mike it is three separate pieces glued together, which can be a bit difficult wants to slide everywhere. Certainly creates some weird clamping up methods.
-
ok looking close I see it now. I would think clamping would be easier when things are still square.
-
Yes I leave everything square that I possibly can until after clamping.

I love shorties! Its a good looking bow. How does it preform comapred your others that are slightly shorter?

Stickmonkey it might be just a tad smoother than the 48 and 50" but, not much. I think 52" is about it for length, feels like I am on the verge of not enough preload, still stopping nice and dead but needs a minimum of 8.5" brace height.

Thanks Brad, that means a lot coming from you. For those that are not aware Bjansen is the short bow guru.
