Title: Anyone made a set of Bob Lee Limbs?
Post by: perry f. on October 16, 2017, 11:37:00 PM
I've got a Bob Lee Signature Recurve. I was thinking about trying to make a set of lighter limbs for it. I currently have a set of 60# limbs. I'd like a set 40-45#. Just wondering if anyone has done it. Curious about stack thickness etc. Thanks for any information

I have made replacement limbs for several different risers, using the original limb profile to build the form. Measure the original limb and write down all the specs. Use the stack calculator to get the new stack for the poundage you want and build the limb. Make sure the thickness at the wedge is the same or it could bottom out the limb bolt and damage the riser. Should be a fun project.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I must admit, although I've built a few bows in still pretty green. Where can I find the stack calculator

Do a search or start another thread and someone will send you a copy. I would if I knew how to send.
