Title: Teak oil to finish glass bow
Post by: arachnid on August 29, 2017, 01:22:00 PM
Hello people.

Does teak oil make a good finish on a glass lam bow?
If so, how should I apply it? Sand the glass or not?

Probably not, Dor. Oil finishes like teak oil are meant to soak into the wood but wouldn't with FG.

Oils are for soaking in -- won't work on 'glass.

Yeah!  Could be just my hearing.  That'd be according to the spousal unit.   :)

Roy, teak oil is used in the boating industry to seal woodwork exposed to the elements.
