Title: Equivalent to Smooth-on?
Post by: myshootinstinks on August 04, 2017, 08:49:00 AM
Is there anything like smooth on that can be purchased in smaller amounts? I'm remodeling/repairing a couple of bows and would like to add rosewood overlays to the face of the riser on the glass.  I don't want to spend $40 for a smooth-on kit that I'd use a small amount of.

I use super glue and never have a problem. Just apply to BOTH surfaces.

Bingham sells a small kit for $18.++

Kenny sells a medium size kit for about $28

What James said-- superglue will work fine for riser overlays and tip overlays.

MT-13 is for gluing wood to metal. They use it for bow bolts and the brass sleeve take down system. And probably work for knife slabs also.
