Title: Sights that don't drill?
Post by: Migra Bill on March 08, 2008, 11:33:00 PM
I am wondering if their are any sights available for older recurves that dont require drilling. I dont really want to drill any holes in my Bears, Ben Pearsons, Red Wings etc- but would like to see how well I can shoot them with sights. Are there any clamp on types (like the quivers) or anything else available?

Thanx.

i don't know if any body makes something like that.but i have heard that some will use a match stick or tooth pick taped to the bow

You can use foam tape and stick pins in it. Then if you decide to take it off you can.

I think most people shoot no sights here though.

When I first started Trad I had no help and I stuck a tooth pick on with electrical tape.
It worked but did not help with instinctive shooting just had to keep on flinging arrows  :D

Bill has it right as do the some others. I myself wood use a wooden match, very effective and very cheap, use electrical tape to put it on. Shawn
