Got the rust job done on my steel riser now I have to decide if I want to take the wire brush to the limbs.

I can send you a piece of wood If you need it, or try some Iron wood. :jumper:
-
That is going to look cool!
-
You did a bed frame bow before?
awesome
-
Oh yeah ironwood too cool! I've modified the bed frame riser. Drilling more holes to lighten it up and cut the ends to make it trimmer
-
That's awesome! I'm excited to see how this turns out.
-
I like it !
-
Did you leave it out in the rain?
-
Very nice, Ben..

Bue I used a mix of hydrogen peroxide, salt, and vinegar on it for a near instant rust finish. Then I washed it off and dried it with the torch. Then fixed the finish with krylon dead flat clear.
-
Very cool!! I can't wait to see it finished. It's so post apocalyptic.
Dave.

Looks very business like, like a hit bow. :D
-
Hopefully I didn't ruin it by drilling too many holes. I'll be checking it today to be sure it doesn't twist.
-
I used the torch on it to remove old paint which caused a joint to break so I'll need to square it up and weld the joints again.
-
Dang I drilled too many holes and weakened the riser. I'll have to start all over. :(

I have a 17" one I built for some sage limbs that I could modify the limb pads and put a set of longbow limbs on it.
