Title: tuning flu flu's
Post by: cre8vmynd on March 08, 2008, 07:57:00 PM
Whats the best way to tune flu flu's? I bought some flu flu's that were spined to my bow and was wondering how to fine tune them? They came cut with inserts, so can I tune them only with point weight? I'm pretty new to traditional bows so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just use the same arrows I usually use. I just add a spiral fletch for flu flu. I don't try to "tune" them.

So it won't matter what point weight I use? It won't affect accuracy?

No. The big feathers do all the work.  The  feathers will straighten just about anything.

Like Jerry, I use an arrow that I know already works from the normal tuning process. Even then, you can get away with alot with huge feathers.
