Sweet...thanks for sharing, deadpool.
Red Boar ,
couple dozen pics coming your way when I get a min.
Couple dozen pics is about right! I think between the two of us, we've got about 18 of JD's bows. Most of mine are at Arrow K9's right now while I do some home improvement. I'm sure he'll post them all when he gets to it.
Top to bottom.

JD'S NEW RECURVE!!! This bow is super sweet and very smooth. This is the second bow he made . I was going to get the first but he screwed up the weight. When you have a friend whos a Bowyer it gets real expensive!!!!!! :readit:

Forgive the beat up look but I actually hunt hard with my stuff!!
Black grip is 54@27 and the maroon is 63@27. Both are 64"
I've killed more deer with the 63 than any other bow I've owned. Needs a little repair right now but it's had a hard life. I call the 54 "Season Opener". Got it three days before the season in 2005 and killed a deer with it opening day of 05 and 06. Would've in 07 too but I had the locust with me.
Wow, thanks Arrow k9! Great pics. That helps for sure. I am expecting the bow tomorrow. I sure like the looks of his recurve as well. Might have to end up with one of those some day. I am starting light for my first traditional bow (46 @ 28). Killdeer graciously shared some arrows with me. I am thinking the 1916 might be a good start. What do you think?
:-) Thanks to you too Molson...I didn't even notice there was a second page until my reply showed. I agree...the bows are beautiful, but I intend to hunt with mine. "Character marks" may be inevitible, but I love to be in the woods. Taking my first game with traditional equipment will be a real treat I am sure.
This Tiapan is on it's way to a new owner in Alaska...to heavy for me! Doc

Yeah Doc it was all I could do not to buy that one when you posted it. That is one nice Taipan.
A lot of folks say JD's bows are too pretty to take in the woods. I figure there's no sense owning something you're worried about using. Those Taipans are great bows. They belong in the woods!
Glad you liked the pics. JD also puts some real good spirt mojo on his stuff to. Doc I love that ivory on your bow. Sorry you had to sell it.
I have an Appollo and Dan is building me a recurve right now...I hope
Awesome, talented, and gifted bowyer.
My other post was wrong. I should have said that it is James building me the new recurve.
Dan...if you see this, tell James to take his time, but hurry up every chance he gets :)

Hey tippit...beautiful bow. What are the limb veneers? Bocote?
I beleive I used to own that bow,around 2001
Billy I read that and though "OH MY GOD" I better get started on that recurve if I am going to build it, lol.
I don't know if this has been asked, but how long do you have to wait for one.
I bought one when they did an interview in TBM, which was a while ago, and the wait was 1 year.
Alan
More than a week and less than six months. It depends on how many orders JD has goin at the time. It is about two and a half months right now.
Mike,
LOL....get after it Dan....I trust you bro
Ahhh....What the heck. Ordered a new Viper today. This one's gonna be sweet.  Apparently I fell off the wagon again. JD's bows are addictive!
