I'm having trouble finding a source of Micarta. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Big Jim sells phenolic in riser block sizes. If you don't see it on his web site call them.
-
Maybe you could make your own.
Any colour you like.

I've seen videos showing paper being used too.

Bingham has Phenolic

Hey, Hal, aren't you the guy I bought a dryer from?
If so, are you going to fire up the forms?

One thing about that video. I don't recommend using a polyester resin like 3M for a project that will ultimately be held together by epoxy resins. Laying up different types resins can result in unwanted complications.

I would agree, Pago.
It was more about how it's done.
I figure that a lot bow makers will likely have epoxy around anyway and use that rather than going out and buying another kind of resin.
Would be stronger too.

Oh, if that came across snarky mea culpa, I was just thinking to myself not to do that and it might help someone else.

Didn't come across as snarky in any way.
Fair comment.
I should have said the same in my post, I just kinda thought it was a given.

Micarta is a trade name like "Cresent" wrench vs adjustable wrench. In other words all micarta can be phenolic but not all phenolic can be micarta...
Anyway, enough symantics. Most phenolics are made of polyester and we glue them with epoxies with no issues so there should be no worries there.
G10, my phenolic of choice is a fiberglass substrate base with an epoxie resin base. It is much stiffer and stronger and about 20% heavier. Oddly enough, it is easier to sand and file.
G10 is generally only available in black and is a bit more expensive but it doesn't show weave as badly as poly phenolic or "Micarta".
I keep many different sizes of Phenolic on hand and G10 as well.
Thanks, BigJim
