Anyone know where there's any Osage to cut within 2 or 3 hour drive of the Wilkes-Barre Pa area? I'd pay a small finders fee or help you cut and split staves for some of the staves if anyone knows where there's some I can cut or even just a location where I can go knock on a door and possibly get permission to cut. I can't pay $100 a stave from suppliers and I'm not afraid of hard work.

Just as an option you could consider trading on the trading post over at primitive archer if you can't find any local stuff. I've traded off probably a dozen staves and shipping is usually like 15$ through usps.

If your looking to cut your own, try cruising back roads in your area, especially those that parallel streams. Once you find one along a stream follow it up and down stream. learn to locate them from a distance and check fence lines, many farmers planted fence lines with them years ago. When you locate some start knocking on doors.
