Title: Table set up
Post by: toddster on November 18, 2016, 02:59:00 PM
Okay, I have not built any bows in many, many moons.  But, my daughters and grandkids are asking for some.  I decided to go with a few blanks from bowyer's to keep cost and equipment down, as I will be doing the vast amount with hand rasp and files.  I still build whole slew of arrows.  I am looking for idea's on a good bow building table, I know that a quality vise is mandatory and still have mine.  But, looking for idea's of what everyone else has, as I am going to have to build a new table anyway.  Idea's, suggestion's and pictures are always welcome.

Ideally you want the vise so you can get all around it while working. Just the vise mounted on a post would be the easiest.I have my vise mounted to the corner of my work bench but it is awkward getting to the off side to work.

Speaking of vises I need a new one. One project I have been putting off for a couple years is a simple Bowyers Bench.
