Title: draw weight reduction

hi guys i'am new to posting but i have been a long time watcher.i have seen posts that refer to traping the limbs of your bow.i've been tring to understand but can't.can you explane to me or point me in the right direction  :knothead:

Trapping refers to a trapazoidal shape.  In other words the belly is narrower then the back.

Ive also seen,Bows with the Back Trapped.This is done on woods with low compression strength,so the back doesnt overpower the belly,causeing crysals.

thank you for the info.i had read some threads where guys were talking about traping a bear montana and how it would drop the weight of the bow.i was hopeing to find some instruction on this if you can point in the direction i need to go.    thanks for your time
