What do you do for air filters on your window unit in your bow shop?????
-
knock the dust out when I think of it
-
Move farther north lol.
We haven't seen 100 degrees here since 1953 .... And no I'm not joking ....

I hang one of those cheap foam filters in front of the a/c's filter. It can be shook or blown out many times before it needs replaced.

I do the same as Bowjunkie, placing a cheap pre-filter in front of the A/C's normal filter. I replace the pre-filter a couple of times during the summer. I always pull my A/C out of the wall in the spring and rinse the coils out with water before the next seasons use.

What? AC in your shop? Bunch of sissy pants ifin ya ask me...
LOL

I like it, but it's for the bow wood more than it is for me. It maintains a perfect relative humidity in there. If it was just for my comfort, I'd only have it on when I was out there, but it's on all the time from may to october.

Just stepped out in my garage and raised the door to let it cool down a little, it was only 93 degrees. Many bows hanging out there, a couple strung,.

Don't worry Mark, have ac in my shop too.. :) I clean the front filter before each use, that fine Osage dust really plugs it up.

I wouldn't even start to bend wood if the humidity was a lick over 60%. AC is essential if a guy works in a garage. I work in a basement shop, so a dehumidifier is my best friend. I dabble all summer, but fall and winter is when I really get after it. Humidity down in the 20s and 30s makes osage meaner than a snake.

I keep my bow room 35% year round
