First off this is only the second time I've made it this far with a bow build so I'm really new and had a bunch of failures up till now...
So here we go
I feel like my string is tracking pretty well down the center of the ASL I'm building

But when I look at the tips they look like this

What do you think? I checked my form and its square but I can't tell if the overlays are screwing with my eyes or what should I do?

Ok well photo bucket isn't working sooooo, hmmmmm

Looking at your last picture it appears that the string is off center on the bottom limb. It could be just twisted off center or the nock groove is deeper on one side than the other. Hard to tell for sure from a picture but I'd check that first.
-
What pictures would be better to help tell?
my eyes tell me looking at my overlays that the limbs or tips have a slight twist but the string seems to track very well when you see it in person and check with a square...
-
So I'm on the verg of really screwing this thing up now
I sanded the strong side on the limb where I had some twist at the tip I also filed the knock some it was starting to look good so I spun the bow to around and now I have a twist going on the other limb soooo frustrated mostly just do to my lack of experience...
So now I have limbs twisting opposite directions

Having trouble seeing a problem.
Have you strung the bow at all?

I can't get the pics to show the twist is minimal but screwing with me I shot it this afternoon with no shelf increased the brace and it's less noticeable
-
Roy I've seen this in some searches I did my question is:
My string doesn't fade either direction (tracks down the middle) but if I level my riser and look down the limbs the tips roll slightly in different directions so is that all in the Knocks?
If so which groove do I deepen the high side?
-
Kopper the example is extreme for show. I can see in your picture the string right at the bottom limb was off center and that was what caused the slight twist. Even with the slight off center of the string at the nock it still tracked in the middle of most of the bow.

Thanks guys, Ben you where absolutely correct, unfortunately by the time I slowed my self down and really studied and understood Roy's drawing I had already really filed the nocks away on the wrong side :knothead:
But no worries I checked the bow for draw weight and am coming in light anyways so I'm gonna like the limbs and come at it with a fresh and more knowledgable perspective thanks for all your reply's can't wait to post some pics when she's finished......
One more thing if I cut an inch off both sides I'll be a c-hair off of 7/16" wide knocks do you think I can get away with no overlays?
