Title: Trilam formulas
Post by: styksnstryngs on April 11, 2016, 12:03:00 PM
What lam combination, with a hickory back and an ipe/massaranduba/osage belly, would get me to about 40#@28" with a 64" length, in the design outlined in the laminated bows chapter of tbb3 (strong reflex/deflex)?
Thanks. I'm excited about this build, first trilam!

What should I aim to taper to at the tips?

So thickness at grip is 1/2", and 3/8" at tip? Or 3/8" at grip and half that, 3/16", at the tips?

Thickness 1/2 at grip to 1/4 at tips. The 1/2 to 3/8 was for the tip width. I misunderstood you.
