I tried a mild R/D design and here it is. It has a 32" red elm power lam. 64" NTN and 45#. I'm pretty impressed with ERC as a belly lam, especially for as light and soft as it is.

The f/d pic was taken before final sanding and staining. I'll try to put a finished one up soon.

Great looking stick

Beautiful!
I would not have considered Cedar to be suitable and compression resistant enough but heck, what do I know....
What stain did you use, I wasn't very successful staining Hickory with water based wood dye.

Nice bow and combo.

Nice bow!!

Love it! I am a big fan of red cedar as a veneer in my glass bows. But I really like the look in your wood bow.

Thanks guys!
Jan, I used TransTint aniline dye in denatured alcohol on the hickory. It took a few coats to get it dark enough. I did trap the back a little, too. So far, so good. :)

Wonder what ferric nitrate solution would do on hickory? I tried a bit on red oak and it went very dark.

Well done. Love the ERC
