Ouch Pearlie!

I've been trying to get ahold of Kelly about something else and haven't heard back from PM or email. Don't have a phone for him, but maybe he's been tied up with work.

Hopefully we'll hear from him soon and we can get this thing started.

Just trying to inspire timeliness, no hard feelings. After watching so many of these go down it seems the hardest of feelings comes from extreme tardiness with a few poor quality complaints sprinkled in. I say cut the biggest thorn off at the knees! Get started you slow pokes  :) , and make this the best swap yet! You don't need a name and spec's to clean a stave up or pick some glass, riser wood and lams out.

I have some really nice riser wood and lam wood waiting to go!    :archer:
All I need to do now is get some more bamboo.
Dave.

I'm torn on jumping in or not.

My timeliness has never been too egregious, but never on time either!

not sure what is going down with me this year. Had one knee replaced but waiting on word on having second one done. Was supposed to happen together but had scratch on one and wouldn't do it.If it happens sooner rather than later might be out of action again for month or two.Thing is, leading up to surgery date cant get any scratches, or op. will be post phoned again, and in my workshop I rarely leave it without some bark off somewhere!

Id like to get to get in on the swap, but I really don't want to disappoint someone.  I cut down a nice roughly 6" hickory sapling with very few branches, straight from what I can see, and a slight oval cross section.  Just need to split it and peel the bark.  The top section is also straight with few branches, but only about 2" wide.  I think Ill get all of it and see what I can do.

Does anyone have advice as to how to peel hickory bark this time of year.  I dont have a draw knife but may be able to borrow one.  I know spring is the easiest time to peel bark but thatll give me little time for drying and then tillering a bow by the deadline, with just one bow under my belt.  I will also go check some lumber places for some quartersawn hickory boards.

Hope I can get it figured out and get in on the action.
