This is what may happen if you don't check your stop collar on your pattern bit.I bought a new bit and didn't think to check the set screw. bondo--then move your pattern back 1/8"--oh and check your collar!!

Thanks for the tip mike.it was going to be a pretty thick chunk of bondo so I just made a new template because it damaged it also and slid the new template down 3/4".I just posted this in the hopes that it would keep somone else from having whe same issue. Seems everything that can go wrong does, especially when building forms. I hate building forms more than any other part of bow making. The second looks like it will be a good shooter, nice looking work area you got there Scott.

Thanks Jess.a person can't have too much room to work.no matter how big of shop I get,somone always sneeks in there(it must be at night Because I can't ever seem to catch him)and drags in more junk.man I wish I could catch the culprit!lol
