Just wonderin if any of you guys use gateway or truflight. if there is a big difference in the quality or not.
I like the truflight, tried the gateway once but didn't like the way the quills were ground.
Denny
I agree with Denny. The TruFlights are a better quality fletching.
Truflight!!! I wasn't impressed at all with the Gateway's I bought. I will stick with Truflight.
Bill
Same here. dino
I agree with everyone else-- Truflight is the way to go.
i have only shot truflight myself but i was going to order some stuff from foxfire the other day and all they have are gateway. good thing i didnt order all that stuff yet!!!! thanks for the input!!
I recently got some AMG feathers and like them as well as Trueflights. Less money too.
I prefer Trueflight. AMG have some great bright feathers. Gateways Tre feathers look good also. The bases (quills) are thicker on the AMG's and Gateways. It all depends on what you prefer.
I stopped carrying Trueflight here in the shop, just getting too expensive. I now shoot and sell AMG...same quality as Trueflight and less money.
Although they don't offer barred or 5.5" High backs, they do offer 5" Shield and Parabolics, 4" parabolics and 4" camo. the colors are brighter than either TF or Gateway, especially the flo orange, chart, lime and pink.
AMG feathers are just as good as trueflight, but a lot less expensive! I find them on **** all the time!
I've always used trueflight, and have liked them.
Need more feathers now, and been thinking of trying AMG.
Joe Skipp, do they offer a full length feather?
Steve
I've gotta throw in here that I use and like both Gateway and Trueflight. In fact, I'm going to be buying a good sized handful of each here pretty soon for some stuff I'm working on.
I especially like the way Gateway feathers cut in my choppers.
Guy
Yes..Full length also, so you fellas with choppers can cut your own style and shape. PM me for all the colors offered.
how long are full length feathers usually
Thanks, Joe.
Steve
KOTAKID, full length feathers are about 9" long. With the 4" nanners I tried yesterday, I have no problem cutting 2 fletches out of a full-length feather.
I've used both with good success.
I guess it comes down to which is priced better when I buy them.
