Hey guys and gals , just a heads up we have a special opportunity with a special limited deal .
We purchased a pile of the wood grain Arrow Dynamic shafting , Traditional only. This is not going to be something that we will be able to stock , one time deal only.
We are not on the web site yet with these so you will have to call . Also only a few dozen so don't drag your feet on these
So what is the cost on these? Does A.D. have a picture on their site?
Cost is $10.00 more than the regular Traditional ADs on our site. AD does not have a picture as they do not make this shaft any longer.
They look like the Vaporwood carbons only in the AD traditional tapered shaft.
Ted
$10 per dozen or per 1/2 dozen?
Man I wish they would start making those again. I had some older ones and they looked great! But I shoot the trad lites.
Sorry guys . $10.00 per 12 . And thats $10.00 more than the standard Traditionals, These wood grain ones look great .
They are going going but not gone yet.
Yep......them's tuffer with the wrap than the the regulars.....and the regulars are TUFF! And, they are 30 grains heavier I believe.
I thought these were long gone......I'll take a dozen Ted if you still got some....just set em back for me...I'll call ya in a bit.
What do these weigh per inch?
Ruffly 560 grains at 29 inches BOP with a 175 grain head.
Terry, I pull 28" on my Howatt Hunter and a 29" shaft is what I like to shoot. Would these spine right for me? Oddly, I currently shoot a 29" shaft with a 175 head but in alum. What do yout think?
What pound @ 28 is the bow?
Ted ...I'll just take Terrys Doz. PLEASE
After he pays ya :jumper: :jumper:
Sure thing Vance.....you can have em.....
Put back 2 dozen Ted.
You got it Vance , any body else want any while Terry,s feeling so Generous ? Charlie, Curtis?

Sorry Terry, I guess it would of helped to tell you it was 55lb @ 28".
Ted, have any left? If so, I'll take a dozen.
Sent ya a PM.
Yes....they should shoot fine for ya.
OK guys , I set aside a dozen for every one that spoke up or sent a PM, still some left for those that are just seeing this, there are 300 shafts in all, when their gone thats it .
If ya want to take them up a notch. Ted also has 100 grain Brass inserts fer these babies That make em SLAMMERS, if ya got the Bow weight to handle them.
Ted,
If you have any trad lites available I will take 2 dz.
Chris, I don't think they made any Trad Lites with the wood grain.
I couldn't remember if they did but it was worth the try.
PM sent
PM from here as well--i'm shooting lights but adding 100 grains of another carbon shaft inside front end so weight is not an issue, maybe with enough point weight these'll work with my 60#er
Sorry Chris , no Trad lites in the wood grain, I would be happy to build you a heavier bow to go with the Trads however, hows the shoulder?
All PMs returned
If you still have them, I would like a dozen.
Thanks,
Patrick Kelly
Ted would those wood grain AD's shoot from a 46# recurve or are they to stiff for it? If not I'll take a dozen...Thanks, Paul
Yes they will work out of a 45# recurve, some here may argue this, but for me with a center shot bow they will work fine with a 45# er. Different with a 45# longbow.
Guys that want them need to contact me here at the store 541-386-4503
This is VERY RARE find.....Thanks for sharing these Babies with us Ted
Ted,
Shoulder is doing fine. Just started lifting again so hopefully it will start getting stronger. Right now I can not see myself ever shooting over 50lbs again.
I will be in touch for some Trad Lites here soon. Wish I could get away with shooting some regulars but they will come in a little too heavy my likes.
Good to hear Chris, also good to see you still state side.
Just a heads up to all that the shafts are gone .
If one of the guys I am holding shafts for does not step up and get them I will let you know.
Good thing from this is that we got Arrow Dynamics thinking again about wood grain Traditionals, spoke to them this morning and they are seriously considering it , enough to be looking into cost.
Man that would be GREAT especially if they make them in trad lites also!
More good news guys , I have been bugging them at Arrow Dynamics ( gently of course) about making more , both Traditional and Traditional lite.
I received a call this morning and they said they found enough stuff to do a short run of both for us.
Sit tight, more on the way , both Trad and Trad lite in wood grain.
WOOOOHOOOO!
Ted,
I would like 3 dz of the Trad Lites. Gotta love AD for giving folks what they ask for. Thanks for the offer and for making this happen.
I am gone as well just never changed profile to reflect. Just could not bring myself to change it.
Chris
I am interested in some. Is there any more left?
OK guys , I have just a few left on this run , more to come.in stock I have 3 dz. Traditional in wood grain and get this , we just got 3 dz. in Traditional lights as well. As I said before with all the interest, Arrow Dynamics is listening and producing more wood grain for us right now.
So first come first serve on what we have in stock now. No worries Doug, yours are here for when you get back from Hawaii,(bum)We have a good selection of both traditional as well as traditional light in black also. Raptor Archery will be closed next week as I am teaching a bow building class in sunny southern California ( and a bit of surfing as well as pig hunting. Be back on the 1st of April.
Ted...I'm shooting a longbow - 48#@28". Would the Trads in wood grain work for me(spine)? If so, I'd like to get in. Thanks for getting this out to us.
CJ
Christian , I have found that these arrows are very forgiving as far as spine issues, Spine does not seem to matter as much in most issues. It has been my experience that I can shoot either out of most bows I have, the real decision has been do I want 9.5 grains per inch or 11 .
I would recommend the Traditional lite for the 48# longbow.
Thanks Ted...I'll be in touch today.
Just got my name in the pot. 12 trad with the wood grain. I am glad to see them step up and give us what we want! I am tired of messing with the old parallel carbon shafts. Its just too much headache....
Ted, I will take a dozen of the Trad lites when you get them.
Ted, I shoot a 55lb @ 28" recurve and want to set it up for xfoc. I will proabably have at least 350 grains up front. Would you recommend the lite or regular. How much are they for 12 and do you have an eta on the next run? Thanks, Paul
Great news guys , we just received another shipment of the wood grain Arrow Dynamics Traditional , bad news is we will be closed for 1 week .
We will return on the 1st of April and get them out to those interested after that.
I just got my dozen Traditional Woodgrain today and these shafts are beautiful! I hope they decide to run these on a regular basis. Thanks Ted!!
