Title: Couple in the works
Post by: BrushWolf on November 18, 2015, 09:34:00 PM
Been taken it kind of slow on these. I am not real sure what I want the limbs to look like. They will be 62" bows I still need to get some glass and glue yet to make the limbs. Usually I have some sort of game plan when starting a project. Here's where Im at so far I think I'm going to make both risers then worry about limbs.

This ones cocobolo with Macassar ebony might use some bocote for veneers.

Here is Bolivian rosewood and cocobolo maybe sweet gum veneers .

What do you guy think? I have some other thing that might work also.

All looks good to me.  I like them all but the Bolivian rosewood and cocobolo sweet gum veneers look great.

They need a little more attention but are pretty close for some finish. All I need is to find some time to make limbs. Now Santa found me and left some new carving bits for the dremal. I thought I'd might as well try them out.

Thanks. I am think of make another set of limbs for the cocobolo bow.  Something  a tad heavier for hunting hogs. I am hoping to get to do a little bit of chasing pigs this fall.
