I have been shooting into a roll of hay for a couple of years.
We have some new hay around, so I tore into the hay, layer by layer and found 4 of my carbon arrows. :)
I new one or two should have been in there.
What can I use to cover the outside of the roll to help stop them. It's outside in the weather.

Layers of carpet can really slow down an arrow

I'm surprised you can even hit one of them huge hay bales the way you shoot... :)

Don't shoot at the flat side. When you do the arrows are slipping between the layers of hay as that is the direction they are rolled. Shoot at the rounded surface. You won't have arrows disappear.

But the round side is smaller. LOL

I got it !
