Title: Some questions as I refinish this bow?
Post by: halfseminole on November 06, 2015, 06:32:00 PM
I have the unenviable problem of lots of evergreen brush in my way when hunting (a lot of invasive privet, and other nasty junk) and as soon as I cut it, double grows up in its place.  When I took the horn bow out, both ends were packed with leaves no matter how diligent I was in removing the branches that inevitably found their way in.

This frankenbow doesn't seem to be as prone, but before I go back out I'd like to get your opinions on how I should add brush nocks.  Even late December is partially green here-there's no time to hunt that it's not an issue.

I'd like to skin the limbs, but what glue do you use to skin fiberglass limbs?  I have plenty of TBIII for wood, but this isn't wood.

Is there a how-to for stretching leather around a heeled grip?  I can work my own leather just fine, but complex and compound curves are something I don't know enough about.

Finally, anyone know where to find black phase timber rattler skins?

I know, full of questions.  Least I can handle a riser refinish.  Metalwork I know.
