Title: Ready to go to a loin cloth

Hey everyone, I searched around trying to find instructions on making my own river cane arrows or maybe arrows out of another type of foliage native to louisiana, but I couldn't find any posts :/. Would someone mind spelling it out for me? Or at least point me in a direction? Many thanks!

Wild roses are everywhere. They make good arrows. You probably have switch cane (A. tecta), a native American cane in your area. Many shrub type plants will make good arrows also. Lots of good info on Primitive Archer too, maybe even how to make that loin cloth.    ;)

bamboo garden stake thread is great....i used it myself and here is my first one.

Hey if you have a table saw and a drill you can cut dowels from any hard wood get one of those sanding disk the ones with the hard fiber glass or plastic backing it has to flex, 200 grit is a good start use  a glove it gets hot ouch fit it in the drill 3/8 is a good size grab the other end with your sanding disk and let her rip. I made some nice rods out of walnut I got from the depot if you use steel wool the finish will look sweet Lol
