Hello Folks,
Been a while since I've posted much on the board (but I'm still lurking behind the scenes occasionally) I've searched pretty diligently for a decent plan / build along on a short, recurve take down and haven't had much luck. I still have a handful of material from Kennym and Troy I would like to put to use. Any thoughts? I appreciate the help.(I did find binghams plan on their site but was curious if there was something on the bench I was overlooking)

How about some form plans?
-
How short are you looking to go and are you thinking 2 piece or three piece.
-
Yes how short are you wanting to go. I build three piece takedowns from 48" to 62". Don't have plans but, could maybe trace one.

Chackworth was gracious enough to send me a template. Should arrive soon. As for length I don't really know what I want. I simply want a how I can hunt out of a blind of tree stand with.....that's not awkward and difficult as my 62" longbow. I'm a 28" draw and usually pull 75#. In this case I assume I Would have to decrease weight due to short design? I certainly don't want to put a bunch of time and effort into a short bow that's is unforgiving. What's the best balance between short and shootable?

3 pc design is preferred btw
-
why not try a static curve design as you can still have the ease of long but strung about 4 inches shorter than the actual length. My 62" bow strung is 59" NTN
