It's kinda early to tell I might have other plans :bigsmyl:
I will be there, made reservations in December. :campfire:
Me and Miss Teresa will be there. We are counting the days.
Can you fill me in on what mojam is? Not more jelly I assume.
I'm planning on it.
Mojam is the 3rd weekend in July. You wanna learn about making wood bows, arrows, flint knapping, atlatls, it goes on and on...this is where you learn. Potluck and auction on Saturday night is great too!

Marty,
Dang boy where ya been? We'll be there for sure and I'm going to work on Rusty to see if I can get him there.
Mike
I was planning on making the journey this year, but it looks like a very important project at work will keep me from going. You have no idea how disappointed I am. I was stoked about making it this year. I can only hope to make it next year.
Shawn
Holy crap! joemarty. That's one I haven't seen in a while. Next thing you know Will-MO and rsuty will be around :)
I plan on being there.

Hope to see you all there. It will be a hoot.
Good to see that your doing better, sounds like you've been thru alot which constitutes you to a vacation, how about trying to make it to OJAM
JD
I am hopin'... hopin'... HOPIN' to be there after a 7 year absence!
There are a lot of folks I hope to see, and there's a great deal to try to learn.
Plan to make this an Cloverdale my two "big" outings for the year, the Lord willing!!
Looking forward to seeing "all y'all"-
Daryl
Nice to see you posting JD, I hope to be there at least one day. I may be in a new job so I may not make all weekend.
Semper Fi,
Dan Raney
'Lord willin, an the creek don't rise... I've asked for the days off at work, and hope to make my first MoJam. No "tar and feathers" for a lowly glass-lam shooter, I hope!!!
I was wondering if there are typically any build-along selfbow classes? (Like where you participate in an instructional class by making your own bow, etc.)
I'll be there. Trap
Cutis there will be people building bows all weekend. Most guys are very willing to help you build a bow.
Semper Fi,
Dan Raney
Looking forward to it! Hope to meet some of you there. We oughta put up a TradGang banner somewhere and sign in...
:biglaugh:
ok time is all most up. who is going to mojam???
Was, but not in the cards again this year. Work and son's birthday.
leavin' Thursday, headed east...can't wait...be totin' K.S.Trapper, bad shoulder and all...
No way I'm missin' this one. Headed over early and staying late. Talked to my pal Littletree and he is headed down with Dave and Dave's two lovely daughters. If the line to have Rachel make you a string is too long, I'll make ya one.
Curtis, find a guy named Gary Davis (around the band saw) and even hint that you wanna make a bow and you will be deep in the shavings before you can blink.
I'll do that Shaun, thanks. After going back and looking at some of the names on this thread, I have no doubt there will be a ton of talent to watch and learn from.
Really looking forward to it!
Joe good to hear from you sylvia and i will be there, be good to see you agean. loyd
Me and Lisa will be there, leaving tomorrow. Can't wait to see everybody.
Mike
Me and the wife and grandaughter are going. My first time. Got a trailer rented so I am going to haul a bunch of staves over there. Do some trading and selling. Also I hope somebody will show me how to make some bow strings. Dean
I'll be there w/ a bunch of staves & a few knives. Looking forward to seeing folks. Sounds like some names from the past might be showing up--GREAT!! I'm planning on being there Thurs mid morning-- maybe Wed about suppertime. Joemarty-- I don't think I've seen you since you (or Rusty) had that chainsaw bark eater running. Larry
Really looking forward to visiting with everybody old and new. I will be setting up a small Sitka Gear booth (hopefully in the shade) so stop by and chat a while. :)
Tracy
Man I wish I could go. :banghead: We are leaving on Saturday for a week in South Dakota. Maybe next year.
Tracy, sorry to hear about the shoulder. Kevin told me about it at the shoot on Sunday. Hope it heals up quickly.
Bill
Thanks Bill, Wish you could be there to. Injoy South Dakota awsome state.
Tracy
KCTREEMAN and I will be there Saturday.
I have been planning on making it on Wednesday...Tyson just decided to send chicks on Thursday morning...! My son said he would cover for me, but I'm not sure my conscience would allow it...worst case...I'll be heading north thursday late morning... Gifford...you "boys" save me a place to park when I get there and a place to set my tent ... :)
Bob
-Joe Marty...it will be great to see you...the last time was when we were lucky enough to have Joe Mattingly there with us.
Look at all the long-lost coming out of the woodwork!
I'm coming with a fella from Lower AL, we'll roll in Thursday evening. Hoping to trade fer a neckknife or sumpthin'.
Be glad to show ya how to twist up a string, Dean. It'll take ya about 15 minutes to learn.
We'll be there Thursday afternoon...been counting the days since last July. :)
Buz-Al, stop by our camp & check out my knife selection: Red Ford f-150 w/ grey campertop.Do you ever hear from Tom Dickerson? Question for those who went to the first few MoJam's-- who was that wild guy from Wisc (a chemist) who did knapping, walked the railroad to find rocks, probably a friend/compadre of "Pablo's"? Larry
COOTER
Now THERE's a name we haven't seen in a while. Last I remember of him, he had posted pics of a bow with more pieces/parts than a Deere!
Larry, I haven't heard from Tom in a while. I've tried calling a couple times w/ no answer and no message machine. He must have caller ID. :-)
Thanks, JD . I couldn't think of his name for anything. Buz, that's funny. I got a couple of really nice staves from Tom in a swap-- the best staves I've ever had my hands on. Larry
Cooter had that wild bow with the big carved Russian olive tips...he sure broke lots of rock...I have a bowl that he fired in a kiln.
I finally started packing...I guess I need to bring the truck this year. LOL.
Bob
-Larry...my friend Dean is bringing a 12 foot trailer of good wood and won't be there until Friday...we need to find him a place to park it. He (his wife) decided to stay in town at night. :)
I'll be there Friday morning with my 2 older kids. I'm driving the Toyota micro-car so I won't be bringing much. It wasn't just a coincidence that I started making 60" bows when I bought that car :)
I know Timo will be there and Tom Leemans with his girls. Mickey will also be there with Dianne, I think Friday.
Irish and I will be there for SAturday. Family stuff will prevent us from camping as usual. Planning on visiting with Wingnut as soon as we get there. PIcking up a little package that I test shot at Comptons.Have to do a little shopping with the Horton's Nocking point. Hopefully have time to finish up a few selfbows. See you all there.
I wish i could come but maybe next year, money to tight and got to work.
Larry, all of my best bows are from wood I got from Tom. I tried calling him again last night to remind him of us and got the generic answering machine again, so I don't even know if its his number anymore. Whoever has it now probably wishes I would leave 'em alone.
My kind wife is encouraging me to make a dream trip back to Mojam to see old friends. With the course life has taken, the $$$ are more of a consideration than before. Makes me wonder...
1. Has anyone used either of the lower-cost motels on the site (Budget Inn or Gene's)? Were they at least acceptable? Or...
2. Would any brave soul care to consider splitting a room? (Separate beds ONLY!) :goldtooth:
If you need to, feel free to PM me or email at djharding@njoymail.com
THANKS!
Daryl
Me and a bunch of Three Trails Traditional Archery guys will be going - 'bout 6 or 7 of us.
Sorry, I'm out. Girls have softball tourneys, Linda couldn't get here early enough, and I'm not spending $$$ on gas to go by myself for 2 days.
Someone keep Hawkeye from having to triple up with me and Jamie. I flop too much. :-) Sent ya an email, Daryl.
We'll eat some extra meat for ya, Tom. "Hey" to the girls.
there are lots of tents around ... should be lots of spare room for you if you don't mind roughing it...you would just need a sleeping bag. :)
Bob
Leaving in the AM. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Hope to be there for Saturday at least. Maybe overnight but can't make it any earlier.
I will be there with atleast one daughter on saturday. It is her birthday, so I hope she will get to make a bow.
We got some targets set out yesterday afternoon, and there were several camps already taking shape!!! I even saw a nice pile of osage shavins before dark!!!!!!
Oh, and I saw Mudd peddlin' a bicycle, of sorts!!!!
Bring your sweat towels, the REAL MoJam is back!!!!lol
