Title: Bowyers guess-timation
Post by: Carpdaddy on June 25, 2015, 03:36:00 PM
I am working on a 60" AMO hybrid that came out a little low so I am shortening at the tips. Just finished a 58" on the same form so I know it's not a problem. I just need a few to chime in on how much I would increase per inch shortened? Would like to gain 4-6lbs, should I go 1/2", 1", ???

Depends on the weight of the bow now. lighter bows will gain less per inch than heavier bows. A bow in the mid fifties range may gain 5-7 lbs. per in.
