Title: Bow form
Post by: mzombek on June 22, 2015, 12:02:00 PM
Got a smooth-on question. I have made a new r/d form last week and the glued the  formica in place.
I did not put the form in the hot box after it was glued up but did used compressed air and hose. When I remove the hose, I found a raised area when the formica did not lay flat against the form. I was able to remove the bump. Will the smooth-on get soft and squeeze out when I glue up a bow, creating a low spot?

No. Not after it has cured.

Just for future reference, contact cement works pretty good on the Formica.
