Title: Eastern red cedar ASL ???

Just wondering if anyone has built a ASL with red cedar lams and if they had to increase the stack compared to other corewoods such as maple , red elm , or bamboo. I ground some today but they seem a little weak to me.

I know with yew (the larger ringed new growth stuff) you definitely have to increase the stack a bit. Still makes a really fast bow though. I can imagine how it could be similar to ERC lams.

Yes it has a really low bend resistance, like yew, so yes i'd increase stack height by at a guess 0.010. Then go from there.
