Here is the new one, it is 57" AMO, 48#@28", Riser is walnut with 1/4" Padauk strip, .040 Dogwood between, riser backing is crotch walnut, Padauk and Dogwood. Limbs are black glass over gray dyed maple lams to give the edge a soft contrast with the walnut. I have not chronoed it, but it is a smooth and stable shooter and was a joy to build! I intentionally wanted small recurves and the string not to sit on the limbs too much to avoid string slap.
This was before it had a finish on. Finish is Tru-Oil, by the way. Big thank you to everyone who posts on Trad Gang, one can never stop learning new things, iron sharpens iron!

Wow that's a good looking bow!! The walnut on the overlay is awesome.

Nice bow, very elegant looking
-
Really nice lookin bow
-
very nice...good work.
I especially like the overlay on the back... looks like the wood is flowing with the curves, almost as if it melted.
-
Very cool. Like the short length.

cool

Good looking bow

Thank you all for looking and the nice comments! The walnut is from a tree I cut down in Tennessee. The limb that created the crotch area had been dead for years that its bark was rotted and spongy. The wood underneath was solid and and seasoned! What a find! The Dogwood was from storm damaged trees in the yard.

I really like that look, good job!

Looks good from here.

Mark, to answer your question about how much reflex: Measured from the back of the riser grip is 3 1/8" reflex. From the throat of the grip is 1 3/8". Hope this is what you wanted to know.

I sure don't see anything to not like about that. The drawn profile is fine fine. The over all look of the bow is hot. That is a bow to be proud of Charlie. I used to make one just about like it but without the bumps on the back. I love the look you have going on there. Nice static tips too. Its a fast bow. The unstrung profile and the drawn profile tells that story;.
God bless, Steve
