Been looking around for the vertical lam bamboo flooring without any luck. Has anybody tried the strand lammed stuff?
-
I haven't tried the stranded flooring but I did find some vertical bamboo at lowes- they didn't carry it in stock but could order it- looks better than the flooring I use to get at limber liquidators

I did at one time offer the stranded bamboo in veneers. After hearing back from several customers about it not matching with other veneers as to making weight I stopped carrying it. Seems one person would not have a problem and then the next two or three would either end up over or under their expected weight. Most times under.
I also compared it in weight (lam to lam) to other different woods and it is much heavier. Guess all the glue used to hold it together causes that.

Forgot to say I used it in two different bows and both came out under weight.

Northwest Bamboo has vertical stair riser material - 3/4" x 8 x 6' , he will cut it to 36" if you want too.

Oh, the strand looks cool, but the limbs probably won't match for looks and like Troy said, likely to be lower weight.

Dale Stahl sells bamboo and other bow making supplies. Good and fast service !!

Hawa Bamboo has unfinished vertical Flooring in 6'
Lumber liquidators has vertical and horizonal bamboo baseboards 6' and you can buy it by the piece. I personally like the Horizonal bamboo flooring.
