Title: Woodgallery295 web site (change to new address)
Post by: Troy D. Breeding on March 16, 2015, 11:39:00 AM
Just wanted to let everyone know that my web site may be down for a few days while I change things over to my new web site.

I built a new site that will allow for better resolution pictures, zoom features to even see the veneers better and I have separated all the different woods to a page of their own.

No more having to scroll through 20 other woods to see the type your looking for.

I'm sure there may be a few hiccups along the way, so please bare with me and let me know if you have any problems viewing the new site once it's up.

Everything on the new site is up and running. However, for some there may be a slight problem if your using an IPad. With everything changing as fast as it does in the electronics industry today you will need to upgrade the browser in your IPad to ios8 if you can't view the new site.

Admin should have the new site connected here in the next day or so.

If you want to check it out go to woodgallery295.net

woodgallery295.com is the old site.

Been investigating deeper into the viewing problem with Iphones/smart phones/dumb phones or what ever you want to call them and IPads.

Today I clearly viewed the new site on three different Ipads and several Iphones.

All had browser versions of 8.1.1 or newer and there was no problem viewing the site.

If you have tried to view the site and had problems, it shows that you need to upgrade your browser. It's easy to do and free from what I understand. Besides the longer you wait the more problems your going to have with other sites in the future.

One other thing. If you click on the  www.WoodGallery295.com (http://www.WoodGallery295.com)  address at the bottom of all my post it will take you to the new  www.woodgallery295.net (http://www.woodgallery295.net)  site.

Sent Terry a note about this missed correction and it should be taken care of in a day or two.

Nice site, it doesn't display perfect for me (android tablet) but works good enough for me.  The better resolution pics are just the ticket and I like that you are offering riser blocks.

Leighton,

I'm going to make another run this coming week to see what I can find for riser material.

2" material isn't something I see alot of in the exotic woods, but did see some Maple that I forgot to pickup on my last run.

Never know what I'll find.

Doesn't work right on Windows RT, but it might just be my tablet, too.  Let me mess with it some more before you tinker with it.

I've talked with the folks that host the site and helped me build it. They have checked everything and keep saying it all comes back to improper upgrades and setting in the customers devices.

Personally, all this is way above my pay grade and can only go by what they say and what I've seen with my investigating.

I understand completely.  RT has some quirks that make it a poor choice for real work.  As I'm a former systems admin, I can sort the issue myself.
