I made this set specifically for the raffle table at the Tennessee Classic. The set consists of a 56" sinew backed osage bow(50#@26")with snake skin covering, Plains style coyote quiver with a bow case, "coyote face" detachable possible bag and knapped knife with deer leg bone handle(blade by Bill Stockdill)and its sheath on the shoulder strap. I have partially straightened 6 hill cane shafts and I will soon have arrows to complete the set.

Awesome gift Pat.
-
very cool- did you knapp the blade pat?
-
That is Awesome!!
-
That alone is worth the drive
nice work fellas !
-
That's great Pat!
I like the dog wood stick, what does it do pat?
-
Let me tell you something. Right there. That's quality. Nicely done, Pat. Jawge
-
Thanks guys.
I don't knap. Bill Stockdill(Hickory Bill) knapped the blade and I hafted it to the bone handle.
James, the stick is actually sourwood and it is the stiffener for attaching the possible bag to the quiver stiffener with the leather thongs you see in the pic.
-
Very cool! Nice work.
-
I figured it acted as a stiffener but didn't realize it aided in attachment, it can picture that though. Glad i asked... I really like this Pat, thanks for sharing!
:campfire:
-
Holy cow Pat! That is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
-
Outstanding work and a most generous gift......impressive!
-
Now I wanna see the bow, and the arrows, when they are done
-
Wayne, you can see "Gidget" here in this PA post. She is the bow that goes with this set.

Wow! is right. Beautiful work, Pat. If I lived close enough to go, I'd get in on that raffle.
-
That is one nice job, Pat. Looks like I may miss it again this year. My son is getting married. I may have to buy my raffle tickets online somehow.
-
Anyone interested in getting a raffle tickets and you aren't planning on attending the Classic you can contact Pappy( [email protected] )with your real name(not your on line handle), address and a phone number and he will set you up for the raffle. Please put something archery related for the subject
-
You do man Pat B - WELL DONE!!!
-
Thanks Blaine. Come to the Classic and bring a few bucks. You've got as good of chance as anyone. Plus, the Classic is the best trad shoot I've ever attended.
-
A real sweet setup Pat!
And the price is definately right.
-
Thanks Eric. Come on down and try your luck.

This was the best Tennessee Classic ever. The weather was perfect with no rain, bright sunshine and cool nights.
The raffle tables brought in over $4000 for the Twin Oaks Bowhunters and I'm proud to say that this bow, arrows, stone knife and quiver set brought over $1000 for the club. Matt Wirwicki from Michigan won the set...and an Egyptian Angular Horn Bow made by James Parker of Huntworthy Productions.

-
One word .... Epic
-
Pappy informed me that this set brought over $1000 for Twin Oaks. I'm a proud papa! :saywhat:
-
great job Pat.
money well spent, and money well earned   :clapper: :clapper:
-
Now, what can I do next year to top this?
-
you could build another glass bow :D
that would be a collecters item- a "Pat B Glass Bow"
-
I've only built one glass bow and it blew up even before I got a string on it. :knothead:
Maybe I'll put our Toyota Corolla on the table next year. :D
-
man those corollas run for ever.
i had an '85 that i used in S. africa- hauled cement , building materials- pulled a horsebox- pulled hay bales- couldnt kill it- when i emmigrated in 2007, i sold it to a good mate- its still going strong- its his only vehicle- rural farm roads- all dirt- ala african style!
-
I made it to the Classic(365 miles) on a $10 tank of gas each way. Heck, I can't give that up. I'll have to think of something else.

:clapper: :biglaugh:
