Title: Black widow repair??
Post by: Jon Stewart on February 24, 2015, 08:21:00 AM
Not sure where to ask this??

I was given two older black widow bows. One is called the :Ghost".  It is all white.  One of the tips has some damage.  Looks like it may have been dropped and the clear coat and white paint was chipped away from the wood. Maybe a 1/4" or less is gone.

Is there anyone out there that I can send the top limb to to have it looked at and maybe repaired?

Send it back to Black Widow, they do repairs on their bows.

older doesn't accurately describe a "ghost".  Fossil would be better, probably made in 1960 or 1961.  Really cool bows, follow Roy's advice, fix it right.  LF

I think it is a 61.  I have sent B/W an e-mail this morning about this.  If I don't hear from them before noon I will give them a call.

A daughter to a friend that died gave me two BW last week.  The other is a hunting bow (1959?).  43# at 25".  I draw a bit longer than that but that has to be the fastest shooting bow I have ever shot and I have been shooting for 60 years.
