Title: One way around streaky glass
Post by: bigbob2 on January 27, 2015, 12:05:00 AM
Recent bow i built gave me the usual angst when I removed the tapes to see streaks from one end to the other. Had to 'skin' the limbs with faux Rattler, guess its one you might either love or hate bu  (http://i1382.photobucket.com/albums/ah249/bigbob2/014_zps95674278.jpg) (http://s1382.photobucket.com/user/bigbob2/media/014_zps95674278.jpg.html) t at least it 'saved' the bow.

Black or brown is an easier fix.

Bow looks great Bob. Too bad about the streaky glass. There was a producer in Sweden who made bowglass and their glass was 100% clear, no streaks or blotches. I consider myself lucky to still have a few strips of their glass. But their glass was a little more expensive than the BT glass so people bought the cheapest and they no longer produce glass. Bue--.

'Black or brown is an easier fix' would agree James except original design was to show the grain of the belly veneers. Thanks fellas.
