I've been messing around w/ making a tube type turkey call and thought there was someone who did a demonstration here at one time? For my first attempt, I used a 35mm film canister, cut a half moon shape out of the bottom of it and used a piece of latex glove and rubber band. I can make some decent clucks and "kee kee's" with it but they seem kind of high pitched. Anyone have any tips on fine tuning this type of call? Bigger canister needed, different latex?
Thanks,
Brian
Alot of them will be high pitched. You can move the latex around to get a different sound or move your lips around. Send less air over it. Play with it. You can get deeper with it. Don't forget you also have a goose and coyote call there. Happy hunting !

I've found if you try cutting a small slit in the latex you can get a raspier sound.Just gotta play around with where and how large you make the slice/notch,almost like a mouth call, different notches make different tones.
I was just thinking about this. Any pictures?
