I've been doing a search for this with no luck. Not to long ago some-one did a sort of how-to of how they camo'ed a bow with a feather or feathers,it was awesome,I should have e-mailed it to myself but didn't.Any one know how to find it? Any help would be great. Thanks Burt

i just searched "feather backing" got a few pics and a little info. i did the handle section and tips on a bow for a friend. i used the small breast feathers. cut off the quill, and used tite bond 3. very time consuming but very cool. the best camo. pretty easy really. practice on a scrap pc of wood.

not the one I was thinking of.

I think they used the feather as a brush to apply the color. Can't remember if they used paints or stains or some other pigment source.

With mikkekeswick's comment there, I just googled primitive archer camo feather and it came right up. Or at least this is probably it.

That's not the one I seen years ago. One I seen, the guy used the small body feathers and had the back of the bow solid with them.
