My wife put the radiator on without me knowing...
I have 15 wooden bows 70 cm above it. Been stored like that 3 months. Do I dare shooting any or can I rehab them somehow?
What to do? Now its damp winter over here and I just turned the radiator off and put a bucket of water besides to give a little humidity to the air.
Qualified advice is much appreciated. Thanks Joel

Set them outside on a porch for a while to rehydrate. They will come back to moisture equilibrium in a week or so.

What kind of heat? Jawge

Yes be careful because heat apart from drying out the wood to where it may become brittle can also warp bows stored like this. I'd just leave them somewhere with a 50 -60% humidity range to equilibrate at a higher moisture content.

My bow is right now on top of a register (forced hot water) and will be there until I put the finish on. Jawge

Thanks guys. It is below zero outside so I will have to wait storing them outside? I will check on their profiles anyway.
The heat was dry, I guess might have come up to 40 degrees celcius just above and probably not along the whole length of bows.
