Title: Some bocote and macasser ebony
Post by: BrushWolf on December 14, 2014, 08:52:00 PM
I thought I'd share a pic. I am attempting to build multiple bows. This one is starting to take some shape. Bocote and macasser is one of my favorite combos.

Ooo, that's pretty!  Macassar is my favorite accent wood and a great combo with the bocote.  Looking forward to seeing them finished!

Cheers, Matt

Been to cold to do very much. I would like to get some limb glued up pretty soon. Here one riser ready for finish though. I have one other riser half way glued up and a third ready to be cut out.

I finally got around to post some pics. Bocote bow ended up at 57#. I redesigned it a little and it took awhile to get her finished. The bows I used to build were 1 5/8 wide. These bows are 1 1/2 thick now. I also took some off of the risers in the grip area. I am really liking the revisions.

The camo bow is 50# both seem pretty quick and are very quiet. They should make some great companions in the woods. I have a zebrawood one I am currently finishing. It will be right at55#. Thanks for lookin Mike.
